Color of the week

You're a Pisa work

OPI

Everyone, or every girl, has their favorite nail brand. So far the two I have heard the most buzz about are Essie and OPI. So in this post I'm going to speak about OPI. over the course of the next few weeks I'm going to speak about the different lines that have come from this company. But just like in the first post I'm going to speak about the past of OPI and their first victories in the world of nail polish.
George Schaeffer created OPI in 1981, and like so many great creations it was a mistake. Originally Schaeffer's goal was to create a long lasting teeth coating that would prevent chipping and give someone a bright and white smile. Yet he saw more potential in his product and decided to try the product on nails. He wanted to create a coat over nails that would give them color. His goal was to create this product to be unlike any other on the market. Today people look forward to the wonderful shades of color AND the zesty names that accompany them. The first colors ever created by OPI were “Alpine Snow”, “Coney Island Cotton Candy”, “OPI Red”, and “Big Apple Red”. With over 200 different colors and shades OPI is one of the top brands today!
